Located in the scenic and beautiful Mississippi River Valley, on the edge of its namesake stream, Spring Creek MX Park has some of the richest soil on the circuit. The earth here is great for farming, so it should come as no surprise that this track served as a working farm at one time. Unfortunately, the annual early-spring floods from the snow melt in the valleys made this parcel of land particularly difficult to cultivate. As a result,  a man named Grant Marquardt pursued his interest in motorcycles by founding a Hillclimb event here in 1967. As they say, the rest is history.

Marquardt eventually retired and sold the facility to Perry Hendricks, who made it a priority to add a motocross track in 1976. He successfully grew the track’s popularity and hosted a round of the Trans-AMA Series in 1982, which was followed by the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship the following year. The multi-functional facility also served as a host venue for AMA Hare Scrambles.

Current owners John and Greta Martin took the reins in 1987 and have committed their lives to transform the Spring Creek MX Park into the world-renowned facility we know today. John, the 1985 AMA Hare Scrambles Champion, is particularly aware of what makes a great motocross track, and with Greta, by his side, they have helped build an impeccable modern-day motocross track in the small, rural town of Millville.
