Raceway Park Motocross 5/26/13-

Raceway Park motocross returned to action on May 26th. The rain from earlier in the week and on Saturday left the track in excellent conditions for all that attended. Windy conditions caused for some sketchy moments in the air but racing was excellent anyway.

Here are some of the top performers from the day.

Dakota Kessler made his return to racing from injuries he suffered at the Dallas Supercross in February and was a perfect four for four on the afternoon. Kessler is on the way to Tennessee for the AMA National this upcoming weekend. Keep an eye here at NJ Motocross for details following the event.

Another racer that has been on fire lately is Morganville’s Zach Bassista. Zach has been working with local pro racer Frankie Lettieri and the results have shown. Zach won all four motos in both Super Mini and 85cc 12-15 class and finished 8-6 on his 150 against the 150’s in the Schoolboy class. Look for Zach at the front of his classes all season long.

Craig Petersen was a top racer at Raceway Park back in the day. Combined with his brothers Brad and Brent, the Petersen’s often won all of their classes. Craig has been making a comeback and his 1-1 finishes in the 40+ Novice class showed he hasn’t lost that speed.

Young Rich Schmidt must have been listening to his dad, Rich Schmidt on Motivation Motocross Schools. His riding style is all professional and he won both the 50cc 4-6 Stock and 50cc 4-8 Oil/Auto/Shifter class.
