Luke Renzland signs with Horton Racing/Rock River/Yamaha

Just before the 2013 Mini O’s, Luke Renzland signs with Horton Racing/Rock River/Yamaha. Luke will finish out his amateur career on the Yamaha brand. That is the same brand that he won the 450A title at Loretta this year on. We asked the Team Manager of Horton Racing, Ed Torrance, about his program and the signing of Luke Renzland.
Ed stated,

“We are extremely excited to be working with the Yamaha brand this year. The entire team and sponsors are working extremely hard to put the new Yamaha models on the podium. We are looking forward to exceeding the expectations of everyone this year with the program we have put together. Horton Racing has put together a very solid roster for 2013/2014. The riders we have signed are  John Short, Cody Williams, Henery Miller , Zeb smith, and now Luke Renzland. I feel like with the addition ofRenzland he can help our program progress forward and I also know we can help Luke get to that next level.”

Renzland is coming off a title at Loretta and looks to be a serious contender for several more titles in the 2013/2014 season. We asked Luke about his program and the move to Horton Racing/Rock River/Yamaha and this is what he had to say,
” I’m looking forward to a great working relationship with the entire Horton Racing program and I am very excited to remain on the Yamaha brand. Rock River/Yamaha has really stepped up to support the Horton Racing program and I feel like that is a winning combination. We have a lot of great sponsors that will help us secure many top finishes this season. I am also excited to work with Ed as he has a lot of experience with working with some of the best riders that now race at the professional level. The combination of Ed’s experience, the great sponsors we have, my program and hard work, we will have a successful run at some titles.”
Renzland also stated this about his current program,
” I had some pretty good results at Loretta but I have made some big changes in my training program and feel much more solid compared to when I was at Loretta. I have put some solid people in my camp to help me tailor a program that will help me succeed with my final year as an amateur and with my transition into the pro ranks. I started working with a new trainer, Ross Muinzer, and my strength and cardio have really improved. It has transitioned into my riding the bike and allowed me to train at peak performance. I am very excited about the progress we are going to make in the future and can’ thank my entire team of people, which includes my entire family, enough.
I would also like to thank all of the sponsors that have come on board to help make this program the very best. Thanks to Horton Racing, Rock River, Yamaha, Fly, Horton Tree Service, MX Solutions, Yamalube, GYTR, Fit-n-Wise, Twin Air, Dunlop, Renegade Fuels, Scott Goggles, Speed Graphics, Pro Circuit, Mac Tools, Work Connection, Dubya Wheels, RK Excel, Gaerne Boots, Matrix Racing Products, Motion Pro, UFO, and Renthal.”
